WHO IT'S FOR
Flipline for estate sale and thrift flippers
An estate sale opens at 8. By 8:20 the good stuff is gone, and you are holding a mid-century lamp marked $40 with a minute to decide. Active listings say $250. Sold listings, the ones that matter, might say $90, and after fees, shipping and a fragile-box bill, $40 is not a deal.
Flipline answers the one question that matters with an item in your hand: is this worth buying to resell?
Taxes for resellers in 2026
The 1099-K threshold went back up. Since a 2025 law change, payment apps and online marketplaces generally only send a Form 1099-K when your payments for goods and services pass $20,000 and 200 transactions in a year. That replaced the planned $600 threshold, retroactively.
No form does not mean no tax. The change is only about reporting. Profit from flipping is still taxable income whether or not you get a 1099-K.
Your records do the work. What you paid, what it sold for, fees, shipping, supplies and the miles to the sale are what turn sales into profit on paper. A garage of receipts in April is the hard way to rebuild that.
At the sale
Snap a photo or scan the barcode. Photo ID and barcode lookups run on your phone with no limit.
See sold comps, with the median and how old they are.
Check the profit math: asking price, fees, shipping, supplies and your time, down to profit and margin.
Scan a whole table with a lot scan to see which items are worth taking.
After the sale
Bought: cost, date, source, miles to the sale
Prepping: cleaning and repair supplies
Listed: where, at what price
Sold: sale price, fees, shipping, profit
Tax time: expenses, mileage and tax CSVs from your own records
Flipline prices only from sold listings, the sources you connect and comps you enter. It never shows simulated numbers. Anything that needs a connection you have not made shows as "not connected".
Questions flippers ask
Does it work in a basement with no signal?
Yes. Flipline is offline-first. Items, comps and books are on your phone.
What is free, and what does Pro add?
Free never runs out: unlimited barcode lookups and photo ID, 3 lot scans a month, 3 sold comps per item, the full pipeline and the books, with a small banner ad. Pro removes the limits on lot scans and comps and adds custom feeds, 90 days of history, one-tap posting to eBay, CSV exports and no ads. Pro starts with 7 days free, and Google Play shows the price first.
I sell on more than one site. Does that matter for the 1099-K?
Each platform counts its own payments. Your own records should cover all of them.
Is it on iPhone?
Not yet. Flipline is an Android app for now.
