Yes. Choose a 25 m, 50 m or 25 yd pool, and workouts, plans and personal bests use that unit.
Does it need an account?
No. There is no account and no Swimtime Pal server. Your swimming stays on your phone, and you can save a backup file yourself.
What if the app closes mid-set?
The timer runs on the clock, so it catches up when you come back, and a swim that was cut off can be resumed where you were.
Is this medical advice?
No. Swimtime Pal suggests training, not medical advice. Check with a doctor before starting hard training.
